Madrid Pink Butter Dish Federal Glass Co.
DESCRIPTION
OK, this piece is the topic of much debate. Did Federal Glass Company make this butter dish and call it Madrid, making it a very rare piece made between 1932 & 1939, or did Indiana Glass make it in 1976 making it a reproduction piece called Recollection? I have heard from many people, and I truly do not know which it is. I have looked for the famed "76" that is supposed to be in the design on the border that would tell me it was a reproduction, but I have not found it. Ask all the questions you like about this piece, and I will answer to the best of my ability.Repro or not, this is a very nice piece with no chips or cracks. It fluoresces light orange under a black light. It measures 6 7/8" X 1 1/4" tall without lid, and 4" tall with the lid. Please look at all of the pictures. Thank you, and have a great Ebay day!
