The Witch's Curse: Girl Turned Into Porcelain A Halloween Horror Story
Once upon a time, quite long ago, there lived a young maiden who walked in the woods every day. And every day she would get tired and sit down to rest and sing lovely songs.
Now this day was not the same, for unbeknownst to the young maiden, a witch had heard her singing. If this had been a good witch it would not have been a problem, but this was a mean scary BAD witch who really really hated young maidens who sang! So, because she had had just about enough of these obnoxious maidens, the witch thought that she would teach them all a lesson! So she went out to her cauldron to prepare a special suprise for the young maiden. (Oh no!!)
As soon as her suprise was ready, a pretty red apple, the witch jumped onto her broom and flew off to find the young maiden. The young maiden, even over her singing, heard something in the sky. She looked up and saw the witch!! She was scared and tried to run away through the woods.

Unfortunately, the young maiden fell and ended up sitting on the grass when the witch landed! She was sitting there when the witch told her she had better eat the apple, otherwise the witch would take her on her broom as high as a bird and drop her!

So, the poor maiden had no choice, she took a bite of the apple! She immediately felt sick and fell back on the grass! The witch checked to see what would happen next since she had not used this particular potion before. HEEHEEHEE, she cackled in glee - the young maiden was dead! Or so she thought! So she jumped on her broom and flew back to her shack.

For awhile the young maiden lay in the grass. But never fear my friends, this is not the end! For all of a sudden a strange thing did happen! The young maiden shimmered and shook, she opened her mouth to cry out and thats when it happened! With a large puff of smoke she was turned into a beautiful young maiden, but one that could no longer sing...alas, she is now a bisque figurine!

Now over the years she has been owned by a few people, but came to stay with us from an estate sale. Unfortunately, not everyone took such good care of her and her head was damaged! Terrifying! But she has told us that someone who loved her did fix her - and did a beautiful job! Now it looks as if she wears a necklace about her neck (which is what we thought it was), but really it is where the excess glue seeped through. She measures 6 1/2"H. Other than the one flaw to her neck, she has weathered the years well, no cracks, chips or crazing and is delicate and beautiful to look at. Please help us find her another loving home, for if you do she may sing for you!
